Good morning!
Gold getting slammed again I see. More chop I expect.

I t seems like recently the whipping action in metals occurs at NYMEX open. Given the tight range, i'm starting to think that fading these sell offs/rallies is the way to play metals. So a person could go long gold with a stop at 1290.50. Here's kitco's chart that shows the slam at the open. Other days, it's been a hard rally.

Meanwhile, over in BBT land, two experts argue about whose untradable set-up is more favourable.

Maybe another inside day for metals? Well we can throw that scenario out the window! I think today gets bought though.

I agree the fade trade is a viable option right now.... scalped a teeny from the long side on gold.

Gary was very condescending to his subs. Heis too eegotistical for my liking...not that there is anything wrong with that.

I truly can't stand Gary. Lol. I can tell! Since I don't read or follow him anymore, my dis-taste has faded somewhat, although I'm sure it could be rekindled on short notice. For me, I see no difference between Gary and Poly. They are two peas in a pod. Both running a business and neither a serious trader.

When I traded with Chris Terry who used to work with LBR.....the entire group was terrific. Real mentors. No question went unanswered and everyone treated with respect. CLASS act.

When I traded with Chris Terry who used to work with LBR.....the entire group was terrific. Real mentors. No question went unanswered and everyone treated with respect. CLASS act. That's a healthy environment to trade in. Although there are some good traders at Poly's site, one view keeps getting pounded and eventually other views are driven away. I suspect that the incessant defence of this gold ICL view is the real reason posting has slowed over there. How many times do we need to hear the same thing repeated? Welcome the other views and let it play out.

Very tempting to go flat or short here. I think this action suggests that we will see a more sizeable correction. My vix trade is finally getting some love. Still under water slightly though.

My computers are all in sick bay so I am corresponding via phone (God bless the little bigger). When I get my laptop back I will post a Bollinger band trade that works well in a trading range environment.

Let's see if this a.m.'s lows hold for gold. This action is pretty whipsawed. best to sit on hands. Platy, you show a turn date (minor) for gold today? Then another one on the 19th?

Yes there is one today, but it's actually a pretty important one. The question is, is it a low or did it come a day early as a high? Not clear at all to me.
