I have a NQ trade that's very near its stop and a vix trade that is also close to stopping after the vix flatlined yesterday. These will likely be stopped out at or near open barring a sudden reversal. I will be looking to re-enter the vix trade if it stops out.
Yesterday I also went long the canadian energy sector via XEG. Bought at 19.63 with stop at 19.20. I was thinking energy may correct more significantly but it doesn't seem to want to so I initiated a starter position.

Hopefully the top is in but it may be waiting for the Uranus-Venus conjunction on Thursday. SPX resistance @ 1905.

My HQD (Nasdaq short) got hit right on the number and reversed. I hate it when that happens.

consolidation day again (silver, gold). Live Cattle had an NR4 inside day again, yesterday.

over at BBT they miss a few of "us"... It is quite quiet over there for sure. It's not just us three missing in action. There are many familiar faces who have been absent. |

I don't think I've seen metals this trendless in a long while. It will bore us alll to death and then make a decision perhaps.

I'm still holding my stupid SPX shorts, most are June calls so I figure there's still a good chance for a drop into money before they expire. Still waiting to enter a gold short. I haven't made a trade in over a week. |

I'm still holding my stupid SPX shorts, most are June calls so I figure there's still a good chance for a drop into money before they expire. Still waiting to enter a gold short. I haven't made a trade in over a week. I think those calls will pay for sure. Cash is a position as they say. I'm not sure if you trade energy but there has been some nice reversals after the two day sell off. I'm playing them as a hedge against inflation. |

some of my best and most profitable trades and entries/exits have been during the overnight sessions...of many different contracts. just sayin'

I've been involved in various forms of "investing" since the early 1980's and have been around/involved with metals and mining since I was a wee pup! |

I buy stocks and use stock options (sometimes)...and will buy/sell options on futures as well.

Foundation for the Study of Cycles is calling the DOW top for April 2015. Ugh. There's a big part of me that thinks the major top won't be for a while because it seems everyone is calling for one. Same thing with golds bottom. Many many june bottom calls. I guess all a person can do is trade what we see. Have a great evening. |
