Thanks for the articles/links, simon. I rec'd a really interesting webinar from larry edelson....he is bullish now, on gold and silver. Thinks the lows are in and this area of 1275-80 (gold) and 18.70-19.00 is going to hold here and now. If they fail, he feels there will be a very fast (maybe even minutes long) spike down, then a reversal and (as Jackie Gleason used to say), "And, AWAY WE GO!"

Gold turn date Monday (5/19), should be a low, then probably a high on the 25/26th.
Hadik is calling for a high possibly at 1333.6 either May 23 or 26 then a higher high in mid June.
Merriman has May 20 as a reversal date and is expecting a major low which could go below 1277.

Platy, Hadik's prediction is inline with what Larry Edelson thinks as well. Originally, last year, his cycle work showed the May/June time period as a LOW for gold, but then the cycles INVERTED at the very end of 2013, which can happen/is an indication of trend change per his commentary. |

I think on a weekly level, we can hit the 1225 level for gold. We are currently in a synchronized downtrend and this would mean a high probability down trend.

Gold is being pressured to the downside, but the ES is still looking strong for upside potential. The 60min charts need to lead the way down for a sustained bearish scenario for ES futures.
