Let's hope Fed minute day will help us resolve our tightly wound gold coil.

On May 12, Ceres made exactly 5 revolutions of the Sun since the DOW natal date. Ceres takes 1679.82 days to orbit the Sun. 10 x that is 16798, just 32 points from the DOW all time high the following day, 16736, a squaring of price and time.

On January 14, 2000, the DOW high was 11750. The orbital period of Ceres x 7 is 11759.
On March 24, 2000, the Nasdaq ATH was 4816. Mars' orbital period is 686.98 days. 7 times that is 4809.
The SPX 3/9/09 low was 667, close to 1 Mars orbit, or 3 Venus orbits.

Due to the impulsive nature of the price today in the SPX and the momentum reaching an overbought condition in such a short time. I gather that this is an ABC from the low made on May 15th. If the bears has its way then the next move will be down and impulsive as well. A bullish case would accelerate prices for a 3rd wave and into another all time high (Which I am not leaning towards) But this is EW and every analysis should be taken with a grain of salt, no matter how confident we are with the counts. My indicators suggest that once the intra-day signal crosses down it will keep the prices at a bearish setup. So prepare for this volatility.

Thank you all! I was wondering where a few of you went! Platy....anything new related to gold? Thank you!! Gold is ambiguous to me. Best guess is still for a drop into mid June.

The first move could be a fake out. Gold new lows for day but not so with silver. (Of course that can change)

PLATY....
I hope I understand you correctly.... since June is such a huge turn date, if gold rose between now and then Gold would still change in June to an uptrend because the longer term trend has been down (even if the next three weeks are up) Does that make sense?? Thanks so much!!

Thanks so much!! In a general sense yes you are correct. HOWEVER, Saturn made a 72° cycle on January 3, which in theory reversed the down trend to up. So the question is, do we get a double bottom next month which is a low, or do we get a high which reverses the trend back down? Edit: And yes because of the significance of the turn date I would think this is more important than even Saturn, so I agree the likelihood is for a LOW next month.

Gold finally broke through the triangle to the downside. Usually the first break is fake, so my guess is up from here. Next turn date May 25/26.

Here's the 5 min chart for GDX. The spike in volume and price is more bullish than bearish. Very interested to watch the close.

Still think Gold in a down trend And we could still go lower. No doubt about it. sorry...going to add/edit. I think the ball game is changing, though. These dips are getting bought. There are higher lows on the daily chart....what we need now is some higher highs. Only time will tell.

I agree that it does feel like miners are being accumulated Daniel. I think patience is required but a big pay day lurks if a person is careful.
