Well.. Well. The time has come for FED to realize what they are doing has no good end. If they taper, markets go up. If they un-taper, markets go up. By this time many should see this as a warning that the FED is not in control. This is outside nature, and only we can understand that its just time. For most, its what the officials decide that will save the economy or the market.
I have seen many bloggers giving up on their call for a turn down, and has since stopped updating their blog. Capitulation? Not for the Bulls. Apparently there aren't enough of us capitulating. What they don't understand is that the bears have been capitulating since 2011, and there just isn't enough of the bears left to make a convincing capitulation. My rant for the day.

I hear ya mp. I think this is what a blow off feels like. Truly disconnected from fundamentals because someone has the market's back. It will end badly. i'm not sure when but having everyone throw in the towel is a good sign. I think we need more commentary from the "new normal" and "this time it's different" crowds before it will happen. That and more rotation into hard assets, which is already well underway. Stay patient folks.

I'm wondering if Platy's June 14th turn date could still have been a bottom despite it occurring a few days earlier than that. It was a "major" turn date, and PMs did put in a bottom around that time. Given the importance of the turn my reading would be that it had to be a bottom. Of course I have no idea how to interpret this stuff but that's my amatuerish attempt. Platy, is this possible?

There is a definite difference in Gold the commodity and Gold Miners. I believe we here in Canada will feel it very soon since we are a resource based economy. But the housing here have been propped up by buyer who believe prices will not come down, and who can blame them. Canadian housing markets HAS NOT come down as far as people can remember. At least not substantial enough to worry about another one. But this time IS different. this is the only time I can say this saying is true.

as much as i am enjoying this, it would be so much better longer term if we slowed down here, digested the gains for a couple of weeks by getting back to 220-225 on the HUI (even 210/215 wouldn't scare me) and then take off for good

mp, you don't think housing here in Canada can crash? I do think it will Crash HARD in fact. But those who keep buying thinks it wont happen. The whole world is on credit, and there needs to be a reset or free money. I doubt the latter will happen.

Not sure if you're familiar with Kyle Bass, but here's his recent take. m.youtube.com/watch?v=enRnv2RLXmwHe agrees with us.

Gotta love this action, sure some have bought miners, but unlike past bottom=picking attempts, this time I am seeing non-believers all over the place. It could be the making of a new bull.

The chasers got in today, so we may see a pullback soon, which I think should be bought! Great to see you Ole SB!

new momo highs on multiple time frames (gold/silver); we are probably going a bit higher before a decent pullback. Gee, another day like this for silver and it will get new high for the year!

Huge volume in GDX and GLD. I know a pullback will come but not the least bit worried about it. Just because miners have given back much of the gains in the past, doesn't mean it will happen this time or forever. Besides, we have higher lows since December for another hint that the bear has ended and we're back in bull mode.
