Closed NQ short. No more attempts at shorting for me until I see a daily trend change.

I remember a similar situation (in gold) where I attempted to "play" the swings and get in/out..... That's OK, but I'm not playing this C wave that way.

USD looks to be in a position to breakout to the upside.

Will be interesting to see how gold reacts to a USD breakout. Right now, the action in gold miners is superb.

I suspect anyone waiting for golds swing low will miss the move in miners.......
Tex lives on a different planet. One where no understanding of monetary policy is required....

Thought maybe I was the only one who realized this! No, it is widely realized by anyone who has ever picked up a book on the history of money and our financial system. Unfortunately very few have.

Looks as if the Nasdaq is ready or ripe for a turn down.

Triangle on the Aussie dollar is getting tight. That thing's gotta fall soon.

Regarding the golden cross I mentioned earlier, here is another's viewpoint. We're allowed to post KWN material here, right? lol While I agree it is significant, I don't necessarily think we'll have "an upside explosion". Gold might also just rise gently for a long time in an overall uptrend and get the "explosion" higher nearer the end of the uptrend. I'm not sure why people have to predict explosions or crashes always in the near future when markets usually drift along a trend more often than not. Draw your own conclusions: kingworldnews.com/kingworldnews/KWN_DailyWeb/Entries/2014/7/1_Historic_Golden_Crosses_To_Create_Explosions_In_Gold_%26_Silver.html

Good stuff Ole SB. I don't like how Clive draws his trend lines. In my view the trend from the early 2000's is broken and are now looking for a new trend. I don't know what to make of the COT data. It seems weird to me. Could it be producers hedging their production?
