U.S. markets close early today, closed tomorrow.
Earth conjuncts Pluto tomorrow reinforcing the Uranus-Pluto square, probable turn date for a lot of things.

So....Gold top or bottom today? Equity top?

This feels like a dip in miners that should be bought. Some of the jrs look like they were actually looking for gold to drop a little so they can get ready to launch. Alexco, ANV, Klondex, Corvus, etc are barely down at all. Pilot Gold is up almost 5%!
Granted.....it's early.

I think gold is going down until July 7 or 10 Jupiter cycles.
I think equity top, short term at least. Shorted SPX.

I prefer to get more of a pullback on the weekly chart to reset stochastics from overbought levels, even if we go higher first before pulling back. At least a couple decent down days in a row before I'll be happy to add, until then just holding everything comfortably.

It's possible gold goes all the way back down to 1180. Look how September - December last year played out. This is similar to that.
But patterns like that rarely play out the same way, so I doubt it.

Guess you were right, this morning dip was one to buy.

Guess you were right, this morning dip was one to buy. Still too soon to tell imo, but the tape looks strong so far. I think too many people want and need lower prices to feel comfortable buying and the market may not give them that yet. Once they chase, a guy could lighten up and look for a decent correction. I don't think many are on board.....all speculation of course.

Along with going half way around the world to blow up some brown people we'll never meet, in their own countries.

Yep, most freedom on the planet. I have a friend (American) that just spent 40 days in Hong Kong trying to open some bank accounts, both personal and corporate, and got denied at 8 different institutions. This was after he paid facilitators for introductions at several of them. At least one facilitator would not take his fee because he already knew getting an American approved was impossible and told him up front. Apparently some of these same banks are beginning to treat Europeans the same way, without having something like FATCA in place yet.
Anything to keep that dollar worth something.

Have you set up an overseas account SB?

Have you set up an overseas account SB? Yes, several in both local currencies and US denominated so I can switch back and forth after extreme moves. It still doesn't help to be a US citizen as an institution might drop American clients if they don't or can't comply with FATCA. The only true way around it is to become a citizen of a foreign country while also renouncing US citizenship. I am hoping since I've had my accounts open for awhile and have history with the banks they will keep mine open even as they report everything via FATCA. If they will not keep mine open, I am fortunate to be married to a foreigner that is still welcome to open accounts anywhere in the world while I consider renouncing US citizenship. I would rather not have to go that route, but will if forced to make the decision. In fact, the guy I mentioned above immediately applied to renounce his US citizenship once he returned, and he did it at the US Embassy here in South America.

FATCA is not a problem in that a US citizen can't open an account, they have all the fake freedom in the world to do so. It's that the US makes it too hard to comply so the banks would rather not have Americans as clients. Sneaky little way to make sure nobody goes anywhere, at least not their money, eh?

101.90 on the XAU index will trigger a PSAR buy signal on the long term monthly chart, see the small reddish diamond on the far right. If triggered, this would suggest generally higher prices for many months to come: tinyurl.com/jwzngeoPS. We hit that level to the penny a day or two ago.

Yep, still here and heading to Argentina soon now that we have all our paperwork wrapped up. She was just down there visiting family, and we plan on going together before it gets hot here again. I'd also like to wait for the weather to get warm in Argentina.
Not sure about staying indefinitely, we're having fun and will stay as long as we're enjoying ourselves. We haven't made plans to return yet since we still have lots of ground to cover. I'm curious to see what kinds of opportunities open up from Argentina's impending flush (or ongoing flush might be more appropriate), once the grace period on their missed bond payment expires early next month. Either they will print and make good on the bonds with devalued pesos, or just default, but it's about to get interesting.

I am also very curious about Argentina. I would love to see them pull an Iceland and screw the bankers over but politically I don't think they have their shit together enough to do that. It would be nice to see a stable situation emerge where it is possible to live on the cheap because from everything I've seen (pics), it looks like an awesome country.
Please keep me posted on things there SB. I'm love to hear about how things look on the ground.

Here's what I see on the GDX 5 min. Gold gets hit pre-market, miners get slammed at open and spend the rest of the day being bought right back up to the opening price. That's pretty bullish and doesn't look like buyers are too worried about gold gapping down sub 1300 on Monday. Even if it were to happen I think the sell off in miners would be minimal. Personally, I think the DCL in miners is in, and gold will hit it's DCL in Platy's timing band if it hasn't already.
