Quite the discussion over at BBT last night. Israel and Palestine always seem to bring out some pretty polarized views.
Looks like we're in for some volatility here. PMs getting slammed here this AM, so shares should gap down fairly hard at open. A few days down are needed to reset things a little.
Equities looking to open positive, so that levitation should continue. I keep wondering when the big chance to short will come.

Oh, and rioting in Buenos Aires again. Looks like things are starting to heat up again, confirming that SB's decision to steer clear for a while was a smart one.

Nobody in their right mind supports Israel, just Jews and a few brainwashed Christians that buy into the contrived "Judeo-Christian" scam. Judaism has less in common with Christianity than Islam, just ask the 50 million or so Christians slaughtered in the Bolshevik (very Jewish) Revolution in Russia. Facts are facts, Lev Bronstein (who changed his name to Leon Trotsky) took banker money from NY and funded the overthrow. Genrikh Yagoda was a Jew that oversaw the deaths of an estimated 10 million people in the Gulags! Israel honors people like Ilya Ehrenberg with a statue in Israel even though he never lived there, once implored the Russians "to kill all Germans and rape their women, take them as your booty!" Crazy assholes.
Israel is the world's terror state. The US gov't hands over all data on Americans to the Israeli government along with gobs of money, what else does one have to know? The only comeback is to call somebody anti-semitic for pointing out just a few facts. Notice in the 2008 financial meltdown Israel was busy at work exterminating Palestinian civilians in operation Cast Lead. They love to take advantage when the world is preoccupied with soccer, crises, or whatever excuse they can find. The poor Palestinians are in for a rougher ride near term as there is plenty of news to distract the world.

People like to argue about how governments "should" respond. They still don't understand the true function of gov't.

Lately the dips were to be bought, however I need to see several days down at a minimum before I'll be confident to add. The weekly chart also has overbought stochastics that I'd like to see cool off.

Yes, and the whole belief of governments representing the people seems baffling to me, when it has become so clear that functionally they don't. And about Israel/palestine, it sure seems like an aparteid state to me. The whole Israel thing becomes much clearer to me when one looks at it from the perspective of international finance. Cecil Rhodes had a huge influence on aparteid in South Africa and was funded by Rothschilds. The Rothschilds were also influential on the creation of Israel if my history is correct. I just see it all as an issue of international finance with some religious fanaticism thrown in for good measure. Forget borders, forget nationhood, think about power and wealth for a few. Anyway, I'm likely out of my depth with this crowd, so I'll leave it at that...

It seems that corrections in PM shares these days amount to a gap down followed by a slow grind up.

TPTB at the very top have the "responsibility" of making sure the prophecies are fulfilled so that the believers will see the signs and prepare for what's coming. That's why it doesn't make sense unless you look at it from a religious context. The 26,000 year cycle. That's really what this all is about.

GDX closed that first gap at $26.45 or so, and I suppose I could be convinced to add more miners if we could drift lower for a week or 10 days and close the 2nd gap around $24.80

That passage from the bible? I looked it up and it referred to occupation on land between the River of Egypt (Nile?) and the Euphrates river. The promised land. My knowledge of religious history is horrible.

Not yet anyway. A $45 drop in gold from the recent peak and miners are barely selling off.

My knowledge of religious history is horrible. Yes, it has to expand this way. It is one of the major signs. Here are some more: Total destruction of Damascus (Isaiah 17). This is why the supposed use of chemical weapons in Syria last fall that almost got us into war (averted by Putin) was so important. Isaiah 9:10 was fulfilled by 9/11. See: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GyZZmhE66kSea of Galilee drying up (Qaran) 3 great sinkings of the earth: 1 in the East, 1 in the West (possibly New Orleans?), and the final in Saudi Arabia (Qaran) One world currency and government, Antichrist & Mahdi, Mark of the Beast etc There are lots more that haven't happened yet.

Also Daniel's 70 week prophecy, which is a fractal, and in our times is a 70 year prophecy starting from the founding of the State of Israel in 1948 + 70 years = 2018 when the Temple should be rebuilt.

And the Judeo-Christian alliance that SB talked about above is another sign from the Qaran: "O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are (in fact) allies of one another. "
It is a warning to Muslims about this alliance. They are not forbidden to be friends with all Christians and Jews, just those Christians and Jews who have allied together. Saudi Arabia has joined the alliance and will be punished with a great sinking.

Ok Then there is the push for gay rights which will culminate in the destruction via EQ (as punishment) of San Francisco (and Los Angeles??) as a re-play of Sodom and Gomorrah. Why the heck else would they put such a MAJOR city right on a freakin fault line??? ETA: I have no personal judgement towards gays. Just giving my view of why all this is happening.

I'm waaaay out of my element discussing religion but I'm interested in hearing all perspectives. I think we all agree that this forum will not censor any view as long as it is respectful. And the discussion can go where people take it.

Revelation 6:6: And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
This is the warning of hyperinflation, mistranslated. When the passage was written they didn't have pennies, they had some kind of silver coin that represented a day's wages.
So the loose translation of this passage more correctly is: A day's wages for a loaf of bread.

Platy, am I understanding you correctly that you are saying that sections in the bible and Koran contain passages that will be fulfilled by the TPTB who believe strongly in them? Or are you saying that it is God's will that said passages will come to fruition. TIA.

I should say whether or not they know they are consciously fulfilling the prophecy. As they may be aware of the bible and its prophecvies but not aware they are indeed setting in motion the events leading to fulfillment! fascinating stuff!!

I think they are Satanists who believe one of their roles is to help fulfill religious prophecy. I do think they believe the Bible/other religious texts. But they have their own Satanic "Bible" or whatever it is that they follow that tells them what their role is in all of this. One of their roles is to "become gods". That's why they are doing genetic engineering (life creation), developing atomic weapons/war (destruction/judgement on God's level), building skyscrapers (Tower of Babel), etc. All the internet/phone/satellite spying allows them to be "all-seeing" like God.

platy, on the question of the true function of government. Well, all I know is that most people who aspire to government seem to have a deep desire to tell other people what to do. This usually turns out, if they do achieve their ambition, to manifest itself in some form of thuggery or another. It's not really a deep theory, just an observation.
