Thought, I'd close off that old thread and start a new one.
I bought some miners near the low last week and they are now hovering near my stops, which are at the lows. I picked up LSG, Sandstorm warrants, and Great Panther Silver. Wish I had bought Franco Nevada. I'm not sure where we'll head from here but I figured it is worth a shot with very little risk.
As for the general markets, I'm basically on the sidelines. The TSX is getting hammered big time and it looks like with energy prices collapsing, we could be headed for a recession here in Canada. My bell weather for Canadian real estate is Genworth Financial (MIC) and it's looking pretty toppy. Is Canadian real estate finally entering its' long waited correction or will there be another push higher? Lots of listings here in Saskatoon for this time of year but we shall see.
SB, how are things in South America? The news has dried up in Argentina. Any idea how things look on the ground?
And how about Ebola? Seems like it will get worse before it gets better.
Have a great weekend!

Things are going well down here, it's a laid back lifestyle. We still haven't went to Argentina and have all options open, might even visit a country or two before we get there. The news hasn't really dried up on Argentina, at least for us, because we're surrounded by economic refugees from there (the Argies that could afford to leave or move assets seem to have done so already). Overall though, I'd say their mood is gloomy so no need to rush there if we decide we might like someplace better.
I've been wondering when Canada's real estate would get whacked, looks like it might be around the corner? Commodities getting smoked isn't going to help, either.
Still hanging in with all miners and nibbled on more into the recent puke but not in the last few days. I saw a Rick Rule video where near the end the interviewer asked about any of the bigger names one should consider in mining, and the takeaway is that the new etf SGDM was created to address that issue. He says it's composed of companies that would generate cash flow even with lower gold prices, ones that would do well no matter what, several of which were royalty companies.
Good luck and hold on!
